I’m Not Ready……

Zhang Linghe Is Coming Back in Pursuit of Jade also known as Chasing Jade or ZhuYu. It Already Feels Dangerous.

I don’t think I’m ready for this.

I thought I was… but after watching the official trailer I guess I’m NOT.

Because every time Zhang Linghe takes on a historical role, he doesn’t just act—he becomes someone you can’t forget. The seriousness in his face, the acting, he literally takes the role and he owns it.

Now he is coming back as Xie Zheng in Pursuit of Jade/Chasing Jade, and I already know this is going to be lit.

This Isn’t Just Another Role… This Is Him

If you’ve followed Zhang Linghe for a while, you know this pattern:

He plays characters who look calm… but are actually carrying the world on their shoulders.

In pursuit of Jade/Chasing Jade he is playing Xie Zheng, which might be one of his most painful roles yet. A fallen nobleman who is driven by revenge.

A man who enters a fake marriage which later falls in love.

Tell me why that already sounds like emotional damage???

The Story That is Going to Break Us but am so sure it's going historical because you know it's Zhang Linghe.

This drama isn’t soft. It starts with survival.

Fan Changyu, the female lead (Played by Tian Xiwei) literally takes him in when he has nothing—wounded, broken, and hiding his identity.

She is a butcher's daughter who fakes her marriage with Xie Zheng in order to protect her family. Their relationship begins as a deal: but later becomes a perfect romance.

What Happens?

War happens.

Separation happens.

Love happens when it’s already too late.

They are torn apart and later reunited on the battlefield, fighting not just enemies—but everything that tried to destroy them.

Okay guys I'm sorry but WHO gave them the right to write something this painful?? I can't imagine the all the emotions that are going to unfold!?

Zhang Linghe in His “Silent Suffering” Era.

Let’s be honest. Zhang Linghe doesn’t need loud scenes to break you. It is the way he looks at someone. The way he holds back emotions. The way his eyes do everything. The ways he expressed his love and you can literally see his love in his eyes.

We saw it in the Story of Kunning Palace— he was cold, calculating, but deeply emotional underneath.

And now we are getting that same intensity… but with More Pain, More Love, More Sacrifice.

Why Does This One Feels Different?

In all honesty there are many fake marriage dramas. But this one feels like it will hit differently because: it is not all love and roses it is swords and blood.

It starts from desperation, not romance.

The female lead is strong, not a weak character that feels like she is going to pass out at any given point.

The love grows slowly… then gets tested brutally.

And Zhang Linghe?

He’s right at the center of all that pain.

As a Fan… I Already Know What’s Coming.

You know that feeling when you watch a drama and think:

This character is gonna ruin me.”

That’s Xie Zheng. That’s Zhang Linghe in this role.

And the worst part!?

We’re still going to watch every single episode.

We’re going to:

Fall in love

Get attached

Cry

And refuse to move on

Because that’s what his roles do to us.

Here is the Release Details (So We Can Suffer Together)

I don’t think I’m ready…

But I’m also counting down the days.

Because when Zhang Linghe is on screen, you don’t just watch. You feel everything.

This might be the one that stays with us for a long, long time. I can't wait and witness another Linghe masterpiece.
